Quetta: The protest camp set up by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside Quetta Press Club against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued for its 6,333rd day under the leadership of Chairman Nasrullah Baloch.
On this occasion, the mother of forcibly disappeared Mahmood Ali Langov attended the protest camp to register her protest and demand the safe recovery of her son. She said her son’s separation had plunged her life into severe anguish and suffering. Every passing day brings waiting, uncertainty and mental distress, she said, adding that the absence of any information about her son’s wellbeing was adding further to her pain.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch said enforced disappearance inflicts severe mental anguish and continuous uncertainty not only on the affected individual but on the entire family. He said Mahmood Ali Langov’s family had been waiting for a long time for his recovery, calling the situation deeply concerning and condemnable.
He demanded the immediate recovery and production of Mahmood Ali Langov, along with all other forcibly disappeared persons. He said that if any individual faces allegations, they should be presented before a court and given their legal right to defense.
He called on the government and relevant institutions to take effective measures to end enforced disappearances and ensure justice for affected families.
