
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Kharan Bridge Destroyed; Attacks on Commercial Vehicles in Chagai, Washuk; Forces’ Convoy Ambushed in Killa Abdullah
According to reports from Kharan, armed men used heavy machinery to destroy a bridge on the Kharan-Karachi Highway in the Sotkagan area. The attackers demolished a large portion of the bridge, suspending all traffic on the highway.
Meanwhile, reports from Chagai say armed men set fire to trucks heading toward the Taftan border after attacking them, destroying two vehicles. The trucks had been carrying commercial goods from the Taftan border toward other cities in Pakistan.
In a separate incident in Balochistan’s Washuk district, armed men set up a blockade and seized two commercial vehicles after stopping them.
Separately, in Killa Abdullah’s Gulistan area, armed men ambushed a convoy of Pakistani security forces’ vehicles, severely damaging three vehicles.
There are reports of casualties resulting from the attack. Authorities have not yet provided further details.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for today’s attacks.
