
JHAL MAGSI, BALOCHISTAN: Dozens of unknown armed men attacked and opened fire on the Governor House in Jhal Magsi’s Nafoor area in Balochistan, causing serious damage to the building before abducting two individuals, including the nephew of the local DSP whose whereabouts remain unknown.
According to police, a large group of unidentified armed men, reportedly numbering in the dozens, arrived in Revo vehicles and suddenly opened fire on the Governor House in Nafoor. The attack caused significant damage to the building, shattering windows, doors and glass panels.
Following the attack, the armed men abducted two individuals Shoaib Magsi, nephew of DSP Jhal Magsi Muhammad Younas Magsi, and Akash Kumar, a member of the local Hindu community and fled the scene. The whereabouts of both individuals remain unknown.
Upon receiving information about the incident, hundreds of armed members of the Magsi tribe along with police personnel launched a pursuit of the attackers. Meanwhile, police sources confirmed that all entry and exit points of Jhal Magsi have been sealed and strict checking has been put in place following the incident.
As of the filing of this report, no group or organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and search operation is currently underway.
