PANJGUR, BALOCHISTAN: Unidentified armed men opened fire on a vehicle in the Sordo area of Panjgur on Thursday, killing one person and seriously injuring two others.
According to a local source, the deceased has been identified as Hatim, while the two injured individuals have been named as Haleem and Behroz. All three were reportedly associated with a death squad.
The attackers, who were riding motorcycles, fled the scene immediately after carrying out the attack. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
It is worth noting that death squads, commonly described as state-backed groups operating under the patronage of Pakistani forces, have been accused of killing and forcibly disappearing political activists and civilians across Balochistan. Baloch armed organisations have previously targeted individuals linked to such groups in Balochistan.
