According to the statement, BLA fighters set up a snap checkpoint on the highway as part of what the group described as an “organizational mission,” taking control of traffic flow in the area and conducting vehicle searches.

During the operation, BLA members stopped a vehicle fitted with dark-tinted windows and what they claimed were Pakistani military emblems. Two unarmed non-local men were found inside the vehicle. The group said both individuals appeared suspicious, prompting a formal interrogation.

The BLA stated that upon completion of the investigation, both men were released with their vehicle, adding that as a “responsible organization” it does not intend to harass civilians without cause.

The press release also contained political messaging, with the group drawing a distinction between itself and Pakistani security forces, claiming its fighters prioritize the protection of Baloch civilians. The statement urged residents to report any suspicious activity by Pakistani forces to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
