
BALOCHISTAN: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has released its operational report for April 2026, claiming responsibility for 30 armed operations across 17 areas of Balochistan that killed 39 security personnel and wounded more than eight others, according to a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch.
Major Gwahram Baloch, states that operations were conducted across a wide geographic stretch including Pasni, Turbat, Khuzdar, Quetta, Mastung, Awaran, Chagai, Washuk, Kalat, Barkhan and several other districts throughout the month.
Jhao Convoy Attack Cited as Most Significant Operation
According to the report, the most significant operation of the month was carried out in the Sedh area of Jhao, where BLF fighters ambushed a military convoy in a coordinated strike, killing 10 personnel, wounding several others and completely destroying three military vehicles. The report further claims that an enemy quadcopter conducting aerial surveillance was shot down during the engagement.
Camps, Checkposts and Supply Lines Targeted
The BLF report states that fighters carried out heavy weapons attacks on three military camps and two checkposts during April. Additionally, strategic blockades were reportedly established at seven locations to disrupt military supply lines and restrict convoy movement. Enemy vehicle convoys were said to have been targeted six separate times through coordinated operations.
Drones, Surveillance Equipment and Vehicles Destroyed
On the technical front, the group claims to have shot down five enemy drones, destroyed one surveillance camera and demolished three mobile towers during the month. A total of 12 vehicles were reported destroyed using explosives and rockets, while eight weapons and pieces of military equipment were allegedly seized from retreating personnel.
Varied Tactics Employed
The report details a range of combat tactics employed during April, including nine heavy weapons attacks, four ambushes, three sniper attacks, and three IED explosions. Grenade launchers and hand grenades were also reportedly used against enemy posts in the Kharan and Khuzdar.
Seven BLF Fighters Martyred
The BLF acknowledged the deaths of seven of its own fighters during April operations, describing them as martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Baloch liberation. The group pledged to continue its armed campaign until its stated objectives are achieved.
