PAANK, the human rights wing of BNM, has strongly condemned the enforced disappearance of Khadija Baloch. According to PAANK, she was taken by Frontier Corps, Military Intelligence (MI), along with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), from the BMC Hostel in Quetta.

Khadija, a BS Nursing student in her 7th semester, was pursuing her education when subjected to this act. The disappearance of a student, particularly a woman striving for professional education, raises serious human rights concerns.

PAANK highlighted that the ongoing pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan is deeply alarming and unacceptable, violating fundamental human rights and placing victims at grave risk of torture and other abuses.

PAANK urges authorities to immediately disclose Khadija Baloch’s whereabouts and ensure her safe release. They also call on national and international human rights organizations to take urgent notice of this case and hold those responsible accountable.

Authorities have yet to comment on the situation. Further updates will follow as more information becomes available.
