Chaghi: Four Gilgit Labourers Arrested from Private Mine Released Safely

CHAGHI, BALOCHISTAN: Four labourers from Gilgit, who had been arrested days earlier from a private mine in the Mahiyan Kor area of Chaghi, Balochistan, have been released safely and returned home.

According to sources, those released have been identified as Wajahat, Wajid, Shahid, and Sabir, who were safely sent to their residences yesterday.

The incident is part of a broader pattern in Balochistan, where Baloch separatist groups have repeatedly targeted mines and other natural resource sites, banning the extraction of natural resources in areas under their influence. In several previous incidents, labourers working at such sites have reportedly been released after being threatened by these groups, while the sites themselves have been set on fire.
