
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: An armoured vehicle belonging to Pakistani forces on patrol on the Lasbela Coastal Highway was attacked by armed men opening fire on Saturday.
Sources say the firing resulted in two soldiers killed and two others injured. Military officials have not yet issued any statement regarding the incident.
In a separate incident, unidentified individuals threw three hand grenades at the Shalkot police station in the Hazarganji area of Quetta, according to police sources.
The explosions injured one police officer and one passerby, both of whom were immediately shifted to hospital. The attackers managed to flee the scene following the grenade attack.
Following the incident, security in the area has been tightened and a search operation launched, with police and security forces engaged in the search for the attackers.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for these attacks either.
