QUETTA: Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) has strongly condemned the enforced disappearance of Khadija Baloch, daughter of Pir Jan and a BS Nursing student in her 7th semester from Hironk, Kech.
According to VBMP, Khadija was taken late at night by security forces from the Bolan Medical College (BMC) Hostel in Quetta and transferred to an unknown location. So far, no reasons for her detention have been disclosed, nor has any information regarding her whereabouts or condition been provided.
VBMP described the ongoing pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan as deeply alarming and unacceptable. These acts constitute serious violations of fundamental human rights and put the victims at severe risk of torture and other abuses.
The organization has urged the government to take immediate and practical measures to end enforced disappearances. VBMP demands the safe recovery of Khadija Baloch and all other missing persons. Furthermore, if any charges are held against the disappeared individuals, they should be presented in court and given the right to legal proceedings under national laws.
