KECH: Protest in Balgatar againist the Enforced disappearence of Young man, Highway Blocked.
Local residents have blocked the CPEC highway at Balgatar in protest against the enforced disappearance of a young man, resulting in traffic suspension and disruption of land communication in various areas.
According to sources, around last evening, 25-year-old Abdeen son of Islam, a resident of Balgatar Syedabad, was taken into custody and disappeared by state-backed death squads on Keelkur Road. His family states that Abdeen is a farmer by profession and used to work in his fields.
Family members and protesters have warned that the protest and highway blockade will continue until the youth’s recovery is ensured.
Due to the closure of the CPEC highway, Turbat’s land connection with Panjgur, Khuzdar and Quetta has been severed, causing severe difficulties for travelers.
