GENEVA: The central organizer of the Baloch Women Forum (BWF), Dr. Shalee Baloch, addressed the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, raising concerns over ongoing human rights issues in Balochistan.
During her address, she highlighted issues including enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings, stating that such incidents have been increasing and continue without accountability or justice.
She said that as a political entity, her organization has repeatedly questioned what it describes as anti-humanitarian and extrajudicial practices, while calling for accountability of those responsible, but without tangible outcomes.
Dr. Shalee Baloch urged the international bodies, including the United Nations, to take the concerns of the Baloch people seriously and ensure equal treatment.
She also called on international media organizations to report accurately on ground realities by directly engaging with local populations, without reliance on third-party sources.
She emphasized that addressing these issues is a collective responsibility requiring action from all relevant stakeholders.
