QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Zrumbesh-affiliated social media platforms in Balochi, Urdu and Brahui languages are facing a sustained crackdown and mass reporting campaigns, resulting in the repeated suspension of several Facebook pages and WhatsApp channels.
According to details, Zrumbesh’s official Facebook pages and WhatsApp groups have long been targeted by organized mass reporting campaigns carried out by Pakistani authorities. These actions have taken place despite all content being in compliance with the platforms’ rules and regulations.
Over the past four days, Zrumbesh’s official WhatsApp channels in Balochi and English have also been suspended. This has severely impacted the organization’s digital outreach and its ability to provide timely information to its audience.
Zrumbesh stated that, despite these restrictions, it remains committed to continuing its national and journalistic mission. The organization is working to maintain access to its audience through alternative channels and is in contact with the platforms to restore the suspended channels.
The organization also urged its audience to stay connected through other official Zrumbesh platforms to ensure uninterrupted access to updates and information.
Zrumbesh reiterated its commitment to responsible journalism, delivering content in accordance with platform rules and continuing to amplify its voice and message effectively despite all obstacles.
