AFGHANISTAN: A video message has emerged from Mufti Sheikh Abdul Rauf, a religious scholar associated with the Afghanistan Supreme Court, in which he has taken a strong stance against the Pakistani military.

In the video, Mufti Abdul Rauf addressed Pakistani religious scholars, urging them to abandon “expediency” and clearly state their position.

He said that the Pakistani military has perpetrated widespread oppression against local populations in Balochistan and other regions, while simultaneously conducting airstrikes in Afghanistan at the behest of foreign powers.

Responding to claims by Pakistani authorities calling Afghans “ungrateful,” Mufti Abdul Rauf cited numerous incidents of military abuses against Afghans. He claimed that Afghan Defense Minister Maulvi Obaidullah was killed during detention, Ustadh Yasir was arrested and remains missing, and the killing of Maulvi Mansoor was facilitated with the assistance of the United States.

Furthermore, he appealed to the Pakistani public to reconsider national policies and urged citizens to take a stand against injustices being carried out in both Balochistan and Afghanistan.
