Karachi: Dr. Shalee Baloch, organizer of the Baloch Women Forum, shared a statement on X expressing deep concern over the recent enforced disappearances of three Baloch youths in Karachi. Among the missing is Danyal Nasir, a graduate of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad, along with Mohammad Iqbal and Irshad Ali, all residents of Jaffarabad.
Dr. Shalee Baloch stated that these incidents reflect ongoing policies of student-targeting in the Baloch community, describing them as “a direct attack on the creamed-mindsets of the Baloch society.” She criticized the state’s inaction and called the secret detentions “anti-law acts” perpetrated by key state institutions, adding that such measures exacerbate the existing tensions and grievances of the Baloch population.
She urged authorities to immediately release the three students and demanded an impartial investigation into their enforced disappearances to ensure accountability and protection of human rights.
