BLA Claims Seven Pakistani Soldiers Killed in Attacks in Mastung, Panjgur and Dera Murad Jamali

QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for three separate attacks in Mastung, Panjgur and Dera Murad Jamali, saying that seven Pakistani military personnel were killed.

In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters targeted Pakistani military convoys and a check post in the respective areas.

According to the statement, in the Spelinji and Maro areas of Mastung, BLA fighters ambushed a military convoy consisting of twelve vehicles. The spokesperson claimed that rockets and other heavy weapons were used in the attack, while a sniper team also targeted the convoy. The group said that three soldiers were killed on the spot and several others were injured.

The BLA further stated that on February 10, its fighters attacked another military convoy in the Parom area of Panjgur using heavy weapons, claiming that four soldiers were killed and several others wounded. The spokesperson also said that a quadcopter used by the military during the clash was shot down.

In a separate incident, the group claimed that its fighters carried out a hand grenade attack on a military check post in Dera Murad Jamali the previous night, injuring three personnel who were reportedly deployed for railway track clearance.

The BLA said it accepts responsibility for the attacks and stated that such operations would continue.

There has been no official confirmation from Pakistani authorities regarding the claims.
