Gwadar: Another Forcibly Disappeared Person Released

Gwadar: A man who was reportedly forcibly disappeared in Gwadar has been released after several days in detention, according to local sources and family members.

The released individual was identified as Masdak Baloch, who was taken into custody by Pakistani security forces on January 18, 2025. Sources said he was released after nine days, though no official statement was issued regarding the circumstances of his detention.

Family members said this was the fourth time Masdak Baloch had been forcibly disappeared. They added that the family had staged protests calling for his release during his disappearance.

Human rights activists have repeatedly raised concerns over enforced disappearances in Balochistan and have called for transparency and due process in such cases.
