Quetta: VBMP Protest Against Enforced Disappearances Continues Despite Severe Cold and Rain

QUETTA: Despite severe cold and rainfall, a protest camp organized by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) continued for the 6,043rd consecutive day outside the Quetta Press Club against enforced disappearances.

Relatives of forcibly disappeared individuals Lal Muhammad Marri and Kaleemullah Marri participated in the protest and demanded the immediate recovery of their loved ones.

Meanwhile, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons also called for the recovery of police personnel who were forcibly disappeared from Mastung district.

According to the organization, Ubaidullah, son of Haji Abdul Nabi, and his cousin Muhammad Shifa, son of Safar Khan both serving as police constables were forcibly disappeared by unidentified individuals on Thursday, 21 November 2025, at around 11 a.m. while returning from duty near Shamsabad Cross in Mastung.

VBMP stated that the incident has caused serious concern not only for the families of the disappeared officers but also among the general public.

The organization strongly urged state institutions and law enforcement authorities to conduct an immediate and transparent investigation into the incident, trace the whereabouts of the abducted police personnel, and ensure their safe recovery.
