Kech: The ongoing protest sit-in by families of enforcedly disappeared youth in Mand, Balochistan, has entered its fourth day. According to family members, on October 23 at around 3:00 p.m., the Pakistani military, Frontier Corps, and other state agencies raided their homes and forcibly took Fahad (son of Usman), Haroon (son of Muhammad Jan), and Hamood (son of Muhammad Jan) into custody. The families have not received any information regarding the whereabouts of the youths.
Two days ago, local authorities contacted the families to hear their demands, but no progress has been made. The families have stated that their protest will continue and roads will remain completely blocked until their loved ones are safely released. The administration has reportedly given a 10-day window, promising to release the youths during this period.
During a press conference, family members said: “Our protest will continue and roads will remain fully blocked, until our children are released.”
Additionally, the families have announced that they will close all markets in Mand and expressed hope that the Baloch public will support their action.
