Mastung: Adnan Rind, son of Abdul Quddus, has reportedly been subjected to enforced disappearance once again, allegedly by personnel of Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
According to local sources, Adnan was picked up from his mobile phone shop in Mastung on October 19. Witnesses claim that about an hour later, the same officials returned, broke the lock of the shop and took away mobile phones and other items.
This is not the first time Adnan Rind has gone missing. On September 6, 2024, he was reportedly detained from his home in Kali Karrak, Mastung, around 1 a.m., and was released nine days later on September 15 near Raji Mochi Cross (Nawab Hotel) in Mastung.
Family members and locals have condemned the incident, demanding his immediate and safe release. They emphasized that if any allegations exist against him, he should be produced before a court in accordance with the law.
Human rights observers in Balochistan have continued to raise concerns over recurring incidents of enforced disappearances and the lack of accountability surrounding them.
