BNM Concludes Historic Campaign Across Lands and Seas Against Pakistan’s Brutal Siege of Zehri

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) has launched a historic international campaign to condemn Pakistan’s military siege of Zehri town and to expose the systematic atrocities committed against Baloch civilians. The three-day global campaign, held from October 18 to 20, 2025, mobilized Baloch communities and activists across Europe and North America, drawing urgent international attention to one of the gravest humanitarian crises in South Asia.

The campaign began on October 18 with simultaneous demonstrations in London, United Kingdom, and Hannover, Germany. On October 19, protests took place in the United States and the Netherlands, signaling a unified global voice against the siege, the indiscriminate killings, and enforced disappearances of Baloch civilians, including women and children.

London, United Kingdom

In London, the BNM organized a day-long protest and awareness campaign to spotlight the ongoing siege and the escalating human rights crisis in Balochistan.

Protesters reported that Pakistani military airstrikes had killed at least six civilians, including four children, and destroyed multiple homes in Zehri. The BNM condemned these attacks as “state crimes”, emphasizing that the siege of Zehri and surrounding areas, including Nichara, Pandran, Kumbi, and Balbal, has left residents without food, clean water, or medical care for over a month.

Faheem Baloch (Foreign Secretary), Manzoor Baloch (BNM UK President), Niaz Baloch (Coordinator, Foreign Department), and other activists denounced the situation as collective punishment and a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

The main demonstration occurred outside the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), with awareness activities extending throughout the day at Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square. Protesters engaged passersby, distributed informational pamphlets, and amplified the voices of young participants, including children, who spoke publicly about their concerns.

The BNM urged the UK government to immediately suspend all military and financial assistance to Pakistan and support an independent international investigation into the killings and enforced disappearances in Zehri and across Balochistan.

Hannover, Germany

In Hannover, BNM members staged a vivid demonstration to condemn the ongoing military operations in Zehri and call for urgent international intervention.

Akbar Sabz refuted Pakistan’s claims of targeting Indian agents, stating that men, women, and children are being indiscriminately killed in both ground and drone attacks, which he described as evidence of the genocidal intent of the Pakistani state.

Hammad Baloch highlighted the total siege imposed on Zehri since October 2025, with civilians trapped without food, electricity, or medical aid. A drone strike on October 1 killed three people, including two women, and injured five others, including a four-year-old child.

Sami Baloch underscored the broader crisis in Balochistan, marked by enforced disappearances, targeted killings, and military raids, stressing that Zehri’s plight is part of a systemic humanitarian catastrophe. Luqman Baloch called on the United Nations, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch to investigate and support victims. Protesters demanded that the voices of Zehri and all Baloch victims be amplified globally, warning that silence only deepens the suffering.

Washington, D.C., United States

In front of the White House, the BNM USA chapter organized an awareness campaign, distributing pamphlets detailing human rights violations and briefing the public on the ongoing crisis in Zehri.

During the campaign, BNM representatives met with Ukrainian activists, highlighting continuous military operations and the resulting humanitarian catastrophe. The Ukrainian activists expressed solidarity with the Baloch people, sharing their own struggles for freedom and justice.

The USA chapter reaffirmed its commitment to raise international awareness about Balochistan through peaceful and democratic means, ensuring the plight of civilians reaches the global stage.

The Netherlands

In the Netherlands, BNM activists rallied to expose Pakistan’s military and media propaganda and amplify the voices of Baloch civilians.

Abdul Wahid Baloch challenged Pakistan’s claims of targeting Indian agents, asking: “Are these women, these children, and these elderly men agents of Hindustan?” He urged international organizations and human rights bodies to visit Zehri and witness the situation firsthand.

Waheed Baloch, brother of missing student leader Zakir Majeed, highlighted the long-standing atrocities faced by Baloch communities, noting the disproportionate military response against civilians in Zehri.

Muheem Baloch, President of BNM Netherlands, stated that the protest aimed to elevate the Baloch voice internationally and strengthen diplomatic advocacy for the Baloch cause. Young activist Mahira Bakshi Baloch called on Baloch people of all ages to stand up, saying, “There is no house left in Balochistan that has not suffered from Pakistan’s brutality.”
