Quetta, October 5, 2025 : Military operations by Pakistani forces in the Zehri region of Balochistan have reportedly intensified, with local sources claiming that multiple homes were destroyed and at least two civilians were forcibly disappeared during the latest offensive.
According to residents, Pakistani forces carried out a large-scale raid in Noorgama village on Saturday, using explosives to demolish several houses, including all properties belonging to Sheikh Abdul Samad. His younger sister, Safia Bibi, was detained during the operation and transferred to an unknown location. Family members say they have not received any information regarding her whereabouts or condition.
Witnesses further reported that several shops in the same village were set on fire. Locals identified two additional individuals, Seth Asad Zehri and Zaid, son of Abdul Aziz, as having been forcibly disappeared amid the crackdown.
In recent days, residents say similar operations across Zehri and surrounding areas have resulted in the killing of several civilians, the burning of standing crops and shelling on populated regions. Due to communication blackouts, independent verification of the situation remains difficult.
Local communities describe an atmosphere of fear, with families confined to their homes. Residents have appealed to human rights organizations and senior authorities to take immediate notice of what they describe as growing state repression in the region.
