Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dr. Naseem Baloch, has rejected claims by Pakistani authorities and media that Zubair Baloch, a former student leader and practicing advocate, was killed in an armed clash.
In a statement shared on X, Dr. Naseem said Pakistani security forces stormed a house and executed Zubair Baloch, the former chairman of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO)-Pajjar, along with his companion, Nisar Baloch.
Paying tribute to his party colleagues, he noted that the circumstances of their deaths echoed the killings of Dr. Mannan Baloch and his companions Raza Jahangeer, Imdad Bujair and many others, who were also slain when the Pakistani army raided their homes.
He said, “In Balochistan, thinking, speaking, and organizing for political rights have been turned into crimes. Our leaders, writers, doctors, and students—none are spared. Pakistan has turned Balochistan into a slaughterhouse”.
