Armed assailants attacked a hideout of so-called “death squad” members in Balochistan’s Kohlu district on the night of September 8, killing three people.
According to sources, the attack took place around 11 p.m. in the Derry Farm area, where the victims were identified as Usman son of Rasool Bakhsh, his son Khan Muhammad son of Usman and Muhammad Wali son of Usman.
Local sources said the slain men were affiliated with a state-backed group known as the “death squad,” accused of involvement in serious crimes, including the enforced disappearance and killing of Baloch youth.
Such incidents have been on the rise across Balochistan. Recently, in Khuzdar and Kharan, armed men killed four people and abducted seven others. Six of those abducted in Kharan were later released, while the alleged leader of a death squad captured in Khuzdar remains in custody.
So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the Kohlu attack.
