In Turbat Jusak area, unidentified armed men overpowered on-duty police officers and seized their official weapons.
According to sources, the police personnel were deployed for the security of a PDMA office under construction when they were taken hostage by the attackers.
Separately, in Chagai’s Ziarat Balanosh road area, armed assailants set fire to heavy machinery belonging to a construction company late last night, leaving the equipment completely destroyed.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for either of the attacks.
