The US decision does not affect the legitimacy of our struggle, BLA remains firm in its resistance. Jeeyand Baloch.

The spokesperson for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) Jeeyand Baloch, issued a statement to the media asserting that the United States’ recent decision to place the BLA’s special unit, the Majeed Brigade, on its list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations is an act of ignoring ground realities and a tacit endorsement of a colonial narrative by a global power.

“We view this decision neither with surprise nor as any new form of pressure,” the spokesperson said. “The BLA is a resistance force that operates solely against the military domination of the occupying state, and our sole aim is the liberation of our occupied homeland.”

The statement declared that Pakistan forcibly annexed Balochistan in 1948, and that the BLA is the continuation of the resistance born on that day. “We are not a temporary political reaction or a short-lived uprising; we are a historic, national and defensive reality — the armed expression of Baloch national dignity that does not depend on any external endorsement.”

Jeeyand Baloch emphasized that the BLA views its struggle through the framework of international humanitarian law. As an organized armed force, it fulfills all the criteria of a “non-international armed conflict” as defined in Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions, including the rules of war, the rights of combatants and the protection of civilians. “We have always adhered to these principles,” the statement said, adding that there are examples worldwide where non-state resistance movements have been recognized under such laws.

“All our operations are carried out inside Balochistan against the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, intelligence networks, death squads and their allied groups,” Jeeyand Baloch said. “Our war is a war for the land, the land owned by our forefathers, which was taken from us by the force of arms. We are not against the people of Pakistan or any global power. Our weapons are raised only against the occupying force and whoever that occupier may be, our arms will be raised in the same way.”

The statement rejected US allegations, describing them as a repetition of the propaganda narrative Pakistan has used for years. “Targeting civilians is not part of our manifesto,” it said, “but we are not obligated to explain the nature of our war to anyone, nor will we align ourselves with any narrative dictated by state interests.”

The spokesperson noted that powerful states like the US base their policies on security, treaties and geopolitical interests. “We understand this reality, but we also know that such lists often reflect political balance more than ground justice. We do not recognize these lists as legal or moral benchmarks. Turning the 75-year-old resistance of Balochistan into a crime does not represent international justice.”

The BLA reiterated that its war falls under the principles of international humanitarian law and that it is a disciplined force conducting its operations in accordance with the laws of armed conflict. “If resistance against state oppression, genocide and slavery is legitimate anywhere in the world, then Balochistan cannot be excluded from this principle.”

“Our struggle will continue until the last occupying soldier leaves our land,” the statement read. “When a nation is stripped of its land, identity, language and resources, every individual becomes a fidain (sacrificial fighter). Today, every conscious Baloch is a fidain. This is not just a war of bullets; it is a war of awareness, sacrifice and collective dignity.”

The spokesperson added that the US decision comes at a time when Balochistan’s vast mineral wealth is attracting global capitalist interests. “Pakistan is offering these resources to foreign companies and is planning to turn Balochistan into a silent economic colony. When a national resistance movement becomes an obstacle to such plans, labeling it illegal on a global level should come as no surprise. We understand this and we align our strategy with this understanding.”

The BLA invited the world to witness the reality on the ground in Balochistan: “See the mass graves where our youth are buried; look into the eyes of the mothers whose sons have been missing for years; visit the cities where speech is forbidden and the villages where military operations are carried out under the cover of darkness. Then decide whether an organized resistance against all this should be called terrorism or simply proof of being human.”

The statement urged the US and the international community to recognize the reality that the Baloch nation and its revolutionary resistance are naturally closer to global powers that believe in justice, stability, and principled partnership. The BLA, it said, is a resistance force free from religious extremism, built on organized national thought, and committed to dignified relations with the world. “Pakistan, on the other hand, has repeatedly violated every principle upon which civilized nations build partnerships. History shows it has sacrificed treaties, promises, and trust for self-interest, making it an unreliable state in the eyes of the world.”

“If the US truly seeks regional stability, relationships based on ground realities, and long-term interests, it must recognize its natural allies — the modern, principled, and resistant Baloch nation and the BLA, which fights solely for the freedom and justice of its homeland. These are the forces that can guarantee lasting peace and a principled balance in this region.”

In conclusion, Jeeyand Baloch vowed: “We promise our nation that the BLA will never retreat from its ideological, military and revolutionary responsibilities. No state narrative, international label, or global decision will become an obstacle in our path. We will continue our struggle until the Baloch nation achieves complete independence and sovereignty.”
