
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: A passenger was critically injured when armed men opened fire on a passenger coach in Sibi, while three bodies, including those of two passengers, were recovered in separate incidents in Chaghi district, officials said.
According to the source, near Mithri, close to the Sibi bypass, unidentified gunmen reportedly stopped a passenger coach traveling from Nawabshah to Quetta, robbed the passengers, and then opened fire on the vehicle. According to police, the shooting left Muhammad Sadiq, son of Nek Muhammad, a resident of Pishin belonging to the Kakar tribe, critically wounded. He was shifted to Teaching Hospital Sibi for treatment.
Separately, in Chaghi, two bodies were reportedly found near Barta Gaizi a day after six passengers were offloaded from a vehicle during a snap-checking operation by armed men.
According to local sources, the two men are believed to have been killed, though their identities and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unknown.
In a third development, another body was recovered from the Dasht-e-Goran area of Chaghi. The identity of the deceased and the cause of death have not yet been established.
