KALAT, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a video purportedly showing an improvised explosive device (IED) attack on Pakistani military personnel in Balochistan’s Kalat district.

The one-minute video, released by the group’s media wing, Hakkal, appears to show six Pakistani military personnel gathered inside a previously unoccupied post in the Makai area. Footage shows the soldiers seated at the position moments before an explosive device planted at the site detonates, with the force of the blast appearing to throw the personnel several feet from where they were sitting.

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the attack was carried out on Aug. 18, as the personnel had arrived at the post to provide security for military vehicles. He claimed that all six personnel were killed at the scene.
