
Reports from Balochistan’s Mastung indicate that several Pakistani security personnel, including an army major, have been killed or injured in an IED attack.
According to sources, the attack took place in the Talakh Kawi area of Mastung. The explosion resulted in the death of Major Ziad, a senior officer in the Pakistan Army, along with several other personnel.
This incident comes amid a noticeable surge in attacks by Baloch separatist groups across Balochistan. In the past week alone, dozens of Pakistani soldiers, including three officers of major rank, have been killed.
On July 16, six personnel, including Major Rab Nawaz, were killed in an ambush in the Jhao area of Awaran. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for that attack.
On July 19, Major Anwar Kakar was killed in a bombing in the Jabal Noor , Quetta. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for that attack.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for today’s attack in Mastung.
