The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks on Pakistani security personnel and pro-government operatives in the Awaran district, resulting in the reported deaths of three soldiers and injuries to at least two others.
According to a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwaharam Baloch, the first incident occurred on July 18 in the southern mountain range of Zarbarai, located in the Gishang area of Kolwah. BLF fighters reportedly clashed with what they described as a “state-sponsored death squad,” resulting in injuries to two individuals. The BLF stated that their members withdrew safely following the encounter.
The second and more severe attack took place in the early hours of July 22 at around 2:00 AM. BLF claims it launched a coordinated assault on two Pakistani military outposts situated on Jak mountain in the Tirtej, Awaran, using heavy weaponry. According to the BLF, the assault led to the deaths of three soldiers and injuries to several others. The statement further alleges that the remaining personnel retreated toward a nearby camp following the attack.
The group reiterated its intent to continue armed actions, stating the operations were part of their broader campaign for Balochistan’s independence. The BLF also issued a call for local youth to join what it described as the “Resistance.”
