The hunger strike camp for forcibly disappeared persons and martyrs has now entered its 5,862nd day. Among those who visited the camp in solidarity were Khalil Baloch, Abdullah Baloch, and Salam Baloch from Mastung.
Speaking to the delegation, Mama Qadeer Baloch, Vice Chairman of VBMP (Voice for Baloch Missing Persons), stated: “These days, there is widespread talk of internal differences among Baloch freedom fighters. Parliamentary parties and counter-revolutionary elements are rejoicing over this situation. In their private gatherings, they express delight. But is this a good omen for the Baloch national movement?”
He acknowledged that disagreements exist in every movement and even the greatest revolutionary leaders are not immune to mistakes. However, he raised concerns about the way such issues are being amplified on social media, which is leading to troubling questions.
Mama Qadeer emphasized that the core issue isn’t who is doing what or staging which protest, but rather that: “The Baloch national movement is passing through a critical and painful phase. In every alley and corner, Baloch blood is being spilled. Countless Baloch are forcibly disappeared and suffering unspeakable torture in the dungeons of intelligence agencies. For many, it’s uncertain whether they’re even alive or have been dumped into mass graves. Targeted killings continue. Under the guise of tribal disputes, the Baloch society is being deliberately fragmented.”
He warned that the entire region is engulfed in fire, and due to military operations, millions of Baloch have been forced to abandon their homes. Much like Iran’s notorious “SAVAK” agency, informants are being planted inside homes. Amid such conditions, attempts are being made to isolate some Baloch freedom fighters, and this game of division is being played out on social media.
“Are these people claiming to act out of love for Balochistan not making the state’s job easier by executing its agenda?”
Mama Qadeer highlighted the emotional toll on ordinary Baloch, saying they have staked all their hopes, their lives and their families’ honor in the cause. They deeply feel the sting of these emerging divisions. He said: “The psychological war one that the Baloch people have won at every stage is now being turned against them through distractions and chaos.”
He concluded powerfully: “No conscious person can accept that the sacrifices of millions should be wasted for the sake of narcissism or mental sickness.
But the flowing blood of every martyr is surely asking us, What are we doing?
To what extent are we proving ourselves responsible?”
