Balochistan: One Killed in Mastung Shooting, Bank Robbed, NADRA Office Set Ablaze in Tump

Mastung/Keach June 23: Three separate incidents of violence were reported from the districts of Mastung and Kech in Balochistan, resulting in the death of one person, a bank robbery, and the arson of a government office.

In Mastung’s Khadkocha area, the body of a mentally unstable man was found near the Mashallah Hotel. Initial reports suggest that unknown assailants shot the victim in the head. The body was shifted to Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital for legal formalities. The identity of the deceased and the motive behind the killing remain unknown.

In a separate incident, unidentified armed men looted Bank Al Habib, located in front of the Tehsil Office in Mastung. The robbers stormed into the bank, held staff at gunpoint, and fled with a large amount of cash amounting to millions of rupees. Police reached the scene shortly after the incident and stated that further details are being gathered.

Meanwhile, in the Tump area of Kech district, armed men attacked a NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) office, opened fire, and later set fire to official records. A police official confirmed that the office was set ablaze and significant damage was caused to the government records.

It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred previously in Dasht Khudan, where unknown individuals also burned all records in a local NADRA office.
