Duki : The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for coordinated attacks on state-backed “death squad” hideouts in the Yaro area of Duki district.
In a statement released to the media, BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch said that on June 20, just before sunset, BLA fighters surrounded the Yaro area and simultaneously targeted all known hideouts of Akbar Nasir, the alleged leader of a state-sponsored death squad, located in the Jhalar region.
According to the statement, the assault began at 6:00 PM and continued for two hours. Akbar Nasir reportedly fled the area shortly before the attack, and his associates also abandoned their positions during the operation. BLA fighters maintained control of the area and continued pursuit of the fleeing men until 10:00 PM.
The BLA claimed that four members of the death squad were injured during the attack.
The spokesperson further alleged that Akbar Nasir operates a death squad network across Duki and surrounding areas under the direction of Pakistani military and intelligence agencies. The targeted compounds in Jhalar, the statement claimed, were used to shelter armed groups and criminal elements involved in crimes against the local Baloch population and the national resistance movement.
The BLA concluded the statement by warning local residents to avoid any association or cooperation with Akbar Nasir and his affiliates.
