Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), Nasrullah Baloch, has strongly condemned the continued enforced disappearance of Baloch student Mahjabeen and her brother Younis Baloch, calling it a serious violation of human rights and constitutional law.
In a statement, Nasrullah Baloch said that it has now been two weeks since Mahjabeen was forcibly disappeared, yet she has neither been brought before a court nor has her family been provided any information regarding her arrest. He described the situation as deeply concerning and a blatant violation of the legal rights guaranteed to citizens under the country’s constitution.
He further stated, “Once again, we urge the government: if there are any charges against Mahjabeen, she should be presented in court and given the opportunity to defend herself. If found guilty of any illegal activity, she should be punished in accordance with the law we will not object. However, forcibly disappearing her and her brother Younis Baloch is a clear breach of legal and human rights. Voice for Baloch Missing Persons reserves the right to protest against this under the framework of national law.”
Nasrullah Baloch emphasized that until Mahjabeen and her brother are brought to light or released, the VBMP will continue to raise its voice on a daily basis for their recovery.
He also appealed to people from all walks of life to join the campaign by posting daily on social media to protest their enforced disappearance.
