Five Pakistani Soldiers and One Informant Killed in Hoshab and Kolwah Attacks. BLA

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Pakistani military forces in the Hoshab and Kolwah regions of Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of five soldiers and one alleged informant.

In a statement released to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said that the group’s fighters carried out both improvised explosive device (IED) and armed assaults targeting the occupying Pakistani military. Additionally, a captured Military Intelligence (MI) agent was executed following interrogation.

According to the spokesperson, the first attack occurred in the Goand serain area of Hoshab, where BLA fighters targeted a Pakistani army camp established to protect the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route. The militants used automatic and heavy weapons during the assault, reportedly killing at least one soldier and injuring several others.

In a second incident on June 16, BLA fighters launched a remote-controlled IED attack on a Pakistani military vehicle in the Kolwah region, specifically in the Bal area. The explosion destroyed the vehicle and killed four soldiers, the spokesperson said.

The BLA also claimed that its fighters had recently apprehended an individual named Khezr in the Zehri area of Khuzdar. Identified as an agent of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence, Khezr was allegedly operating undercover and gathering intelligence in the region.

“During interrogation, the agent admitted to being recruited by a military officer named Muhammad Kashif in Karachi. He was later sent to Dera Ghazi Khan, Gwadar, Quetta, and Kalat, where he continued his espionage activities. Eventually, he was deployed to Zehri for intelligence gathering,” the spokesperson stated.

Following his confession, the Baloch National Court sentenced the agent to death, and the sentence was carried out immediately by BLA fighters.

Jeeyand Baloch concluded by stating that the BLA accepts full responsibility for these operations.
