
The Baloch Women Forum has released a detailed report highlighting the extrajudicial killings of 20 Baloch youth across various regions of Balochistan during the first half of June 2025. According to the report, all the incidents involved direct involvement of Pakistani state forces or state-backed death squads.
The organization stated that while the rest of the country celebrated Eid, these killings turned the festive period into mourning for the Baloch people. The forum termed the incidents as blatant human rights violations and urged immediate international intervention.
The report outlines several specific cases:
- On June 13, Saifa Baloch and Shah Jan Baloch, who had previously been forcibly disappeared, were killed in custody in a staged encounter. Their bodies were not returned to the families and were buried secretly.
- On June 12, Saud Nechari was killed in Mangochar (Kalat), Abdullah Baloch in Tump, and Kamran Jattak in Khuzdar by Pakistani forces and affiliated death squads.
- On June 11, the mutilated bodies of Ali Baig Bugti, Yousuf Wado Bugti, and Zahid Bugti all previously forcibly disappeared were found in Sui. That same day, the bodies of Ali Mohammad and Nazar Baloch were also recovered. Nazar’s brother, Gul Dad, remains in state custody.
- On June 9, Nawab Baloch, a student, was found dead in Kolwah after reportedly being tortured in custody.
- On June 6, a day before Eid, the bodies of Saeed Marri, Eid Mohammad Marri, and four others were recovered.
- On June 3, Syed Ehsan Shah was killed in Quetta by FC personnel, while Muslim Baloch was shot by a death squad in Khuzdar. In Kalat, the bodies of Samiullah Baloch and Bismillah Baloch were found.
- On June 2, Waheed Baloch was forcibly disappeared from Turbat Civil Hospital, his bullet-riddled body was found two days later.
The Baloch Women Forum emphasized that extrajudicial killings have become routine in Balochistan, and state institutions continue to act with impunity. The forum called on the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights organizations to intervene urgently to stop the atrocities and bring those responsible to justice.
