Mashkay: Two Forcibly Disappeared Individuals Killed by Pakistani Forces

In Mashkay, a sub-division of Awaran district in Balochistan, Pakistani forces have reportedly killed two previously detained individuals and dumped their bodies.

According to sources, the victims have been identified as Nazar Ahmed, son of Jan Mohammad, and Ali Mohammad, son of Hakeem. Nazar Ahmed was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on December 23, 2024, while Ali Mohammad was abducted on February 1, 2025, from the Kundri Bazaar area of Mashkay.

Both bodies, riddled with bullets, were shifted today by Pakistani forces to the Mashkay hospital.

It is worth noting that across Balochistan, incidents of staged encounters and the killing of already-detained individuals, whose bodies are later dumped in deserted areas have continued for years. However, such incidents have seen a significant rise in 2025.

Mashkay has witnessed several similar cases in the past where forcibly disappeared individuals were killed in the same manner.
