Samreen Baloch, the sister of Jeeyand Baloch who was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces, has said that her brother was abducted on May 25, 2025, from their home in Buq Mari, Turbat. Jeeyand is a law student at the University of Turbat, a young man full of dreams, hope, and aspirations for a bright future.
He committed no crime. If there are any allegations against him, he should be presented in court, as guaranteed under Article 10 of the Constitution of Pakistan, which states that any detained individual must be produced before a magistrate within 24 hours.
She said that even after all this time, the family still does not know where Jeeyand is. Every moment is a torment for us. We wake up each day hoping for some news but nothing comes. I appeal to the authorities, human rights organizations, and the people of Balochistan, please raise your voice. Help us bring Jeeyand home. His life is valuable. His rights matter.
She further urged people from all walks of life to join their social media campaign from 7 PM to 10 PM tonight and support their call by using the hashtag #ReleaseJeeyandLiaquat.
