Kalat/Mastung, Balochistan: Armed assailants targeted a Pakistani military checkpost in Kalat, while security forces claimed to have killed two armed men in a separate incident in Mastung.
According to local sources, a checkpost near Johan Cross in the Mungachar area of Kalat, reportedly established inside Mungachar College—came under attack from unidentified gunmen. At least ten explosions and heavy gunfire were heard during the assault.
Meanwhile, in Spilinji, Mastung, a clash reportedly broke out last night between Pakistani forces and Baloch insurgents, resulting in casualties on both sides. Security officials claimed that two armed militants were killed during the encounter.
No group has yet issued a statement regarding either of the incidents.
