The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a grenade attack targeting personnel of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence (MI) in Gwadar, and for intercepting a vehicle carrying supplies to the Pakistani army in Jhao.
BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch stated that on the night of June 5 at 11:50 PM, BLF fighters launched a grenade attack on a hideout of MI operatives located in Gwadar’s TTC Colony. According to the statement, two agents were standing in the courtyard of their residence when the grenade was thrown, injuring both.
He alleged that these MI agents were operating under Officer Haider, disguised as carpenters, and were involved in blackmailing local youth to coerce them into becoming informants.
In a separate incident on June 4, BLF fighters reportedly seized a vehicle delivering rations to Pakistani forces in Bargain Gazi Kor, Jhao, at around 12 noon. The driver of the vehicle was released after receiving a stern warning, while the vehicle and supplies were taken by BLF.
The spokesperson further warned vehicle owners across Balochistan not to aid Pakistani forces, stating that those who do will be responsible for any harm that befalls them or their property.
The BLF, in closing, claimed responsibility for both the grenade attack in Gwadar and the seizure of military supplies in Jhao.
