Mastung, Balochistan: A man was shot dead by unidentified assailants at the Alizai Bypass in Mastung district. In response, the victim’s family held a protest by placing the body on the national highway, blocking all types of traffic.
The protesters gathered in front of Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital and shut down the Quetta-Karachi national highway. The blockade caused long lines of vehicles on both sides, creating serious difficulties for commuters.
Family members of the deceased stated that they had no personal enmity or conflict with anyone and demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
The protesters warned that if the culprits are not brought to justice soon, the protest would be expanded.
Negotiations between the demonstrators and the police and district administration are currently ongoing.
