The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated operations across Balochistan on May 30 and 31, resulting in the elimination of at least seven personnel affiliated with Pakistani security and intelligence forces, and the disarming of police personnel in Kharan.
According to BLF spokesperson Major Gahram Baloch, the first operation took place on the evening of May 30 in the Malant area of Tump, Kech, where BLF fighters launched a coordinated assault on a Pakistani military camp. The attack, carried out from three directions using rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and heavy weapons, lasted for an extended period. Three soldiers stationed at the camp’s defensive posts were reportedly killed, and the surveillance system of the camp was destroyed. Following the attack, BLF fighters engaged with the local population and addressed them directly.
On the same evening around 7:00 PM, BLF’s Sniper Tactical Team (STT) carried out a second operation in Mand, targeting Military Intelligence personnel stationed on the rooftop of the agency’s office in Soru Bazaar. Both individuals were shot and killed instantly.
The following day, May 31, at approximately 11:00 AM, BLF fighters ambushed and eliminated two members of a pro-state militia known locally as the “aman force” near Pareech Hotel in Nal, Khuzdar. According to the BLF, the force operates as a state-backed death squad under the leadership of Shahmeer Bizenjo, son of National Party’s central leader Aslam Bizenjo. The fighters also seized weapons from the ambushed personnel.
In a separate incident around 1:00 PM in Kharan, BLF fighters intercepted police officers stationed at a checkpoint near Shahwani Chowk. The police were disarmed, and their official weapons were confiscated. BLF fighters, citing the officers’ Baloch identity, released them after issuing a stern warning.
The BLF has stated that it fully accepts responsibility for all four operations and issued a warning to individuals and groups collaborating with the Pakistani state, urging them to withdraw their support or face similar consequences.
“The BLF remains committed to targeting military camps, intelligence operatives, collaborators, and infrastructure projects until the objective of a free and independent Balochistan is realized,” said Major Gahram Baloch in an official statement.
