Armed assailants launched an attack on a Pakistani military checkpost in the Jhao area of Balochistan’s Awaran district, with heavy gunfire and explosions reported during the assault.
According to sources, the attack occurred around 5 PM this evening in the Zeelag area, where militants targeted the checkpost with rockets and other heavy weaponry. Intense firing and multiple blasts were heard during the confrontation, which reportedly resulted in casualties among the security forces.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
