
The spokesperson for the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Major Gwahram Baloch, has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks on Pakistani forces in Balochistan, resulting in three personnel wounded in Quetta and four killed in Jhao, Awaran.
In a statement issued to media, the spokesperson said that on May 26, 2025, BLF fighters targeted three paramilitary personnel standing outside a military checkpost in Dasht, Durkhashan area of Quetta, using a hand grenade. All three soldiers sustained serious injuries in the attack. The fighters successfully retreated from the scene and returned safely to their hideouts.
In a separate operation later the same evening, at approximately 5 PM, BLF fighters launched a coordinated assault on a military checkpost in the Zeelag area of Jhao, Awaran. The assault began with snipers eliminating a sentry guarding the checkpost, followed by a barrage of rockets and sustained gunfire from light and heavy weapons. The attack lasted for about 20 minutes, during which three more soldiers were killed and several others were reportedly injured.
Major Gwahram Baloch emphasized that the BLF accepts full responsibility for both the grenade attack in Quetta and the armed assault in Jhao, stating that these actions are part of the group’s ongoing resistance against the occupying Pakistani forces.
He further appealed to Baloch youth to recognize the urgency of the current political and military climate and to join the ranks of the Balochistan Liberation Front to actively contribute to the national liberation movement.
