Six Years Since Enforced Disappearance of Alauddin Kashani, Family Appeals to Human Rights Organizations for His Release

Nushki, Balochistan It has now been six years since Alauddin Kashani was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces from the Bhutto area of Nushki on May 25, 2019. As the seventh year of his disappearance begins, his family continues to await justice and his safe return.

Alauddin Kashani, a student at Quetta Degree College and a resident of Killi Qasim Khan in Dalbandin, was living in Quetta to pursue his education when he was allegedly detained and disappeared by state forces. Since then, his whereabouts remain unknown.

His family has expressed deep anguish over the prolonged silence surrounding his case. “These six years have been a torment of mental, physical, and psychological suffering,” a family member said. “The uncertainty, pain, and endless waiting are beyond description.”

The family further stated, “If Alauddin has committed any illegal act, he should be produced in a court of law and dealt with according to the Constitution. But if he is innocent, he must be released immediately.”

They have issued a heartfelt appeal to state authorities, the Baloch nation, international human rights organizations, civil society, and human rights defenders to raise their voices for Alauddin’s safe recovery.

They Said that “This innocent young man deserves freedom from torture cells and enforced disappearance, and his family deserves peace after years of suffering”.
