Dr. Shalee Baloch, the central organizer of the Baloch Women’s Forum, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of journalist Abdul Latif in Mashkay, district Awaran, calling it a blatant example of the ongoing grave human rights violations in Balochistan. She emphasized that the situation demands immediate accountability and transparency.
She stated that this incident reflects the systematic violence carried out by state forces against the Baloch people, including enforced disappearances, torture, and extrajudicial killings. The international community must acknowledge the severity of the human rights crisis and pressure the state to bring those responsible to justice.
Dr. Shalee added that continued silence on Baloch genocide is now intolerable, and immediate action is necessary to prevent further bloodshed. Justice must ultimately prevail.
It is worth noting that today in Mashkay, Awaran, senior journalist Abdul Latif—affiliated with Daily Intekhab was shot dead by state forces while sleeping inside his home. Three months earlier, his young son Saif Baloch, along with eight other family members, had been summoned to a military camp by security forces. They were later killed, and their bodies were dumped.
Baloch political leaders and activists have strongly condemned the murder of Abdul Latif.
