In the early hours of this morning, around 5 a.m., personnel from the Frontier Corps (FC) and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) forcibly detained and disappeared Abid Hussain, son of Mohammad Zaman, from his home in Kali Dato area of Mastung district, Balochistan.
In response to his enforced disappearance, Abid Hussain’s family and local residents staged a protest by completely blocking the Quetta-Karachi highway at Shaheed Ghulam Ali Chowk near Rehman Hotel in Mastung, halting all types of traffic.
The family said, “We appeal to our conscious people, especially the residents of Mastung, to raise their voices against this injustice and join us in protesting for the safe recovery of Abid Baloch and all forcibly disappeared persons.”
They added, “This is not just the issue of Abid Hussain it is the pain of every individual who is suffering under state repression.”
