The spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Jeeand Baloch, stated that on Friday afternoon, a special BLA unit named Fatah Squad took control of Mungochar city in Kalat, including the areas of Khazanei, Garari, and Rahimabad, along with the Quetta-Karachi national highway (N-25). The fighters held positions across the city and maintained control until the next morning.
According to the statement, the BLA fighters took control of key government institutions in Mungochar, including the NADRA office, judicial complex, a bank, and other administrative buildings. They seized official weapons and documents, and later set the buildings on fire. Simultaneously, another BLA unit attacked the main camp of the occupying Pakistani forces, killing at least four personnel and injuring several others.
The spokesperson added that the BLA fighters arrested Abdul Qudos, a collaborator of the occupying forces, during a raid in Mungochar. He was on BLA’s wanted list and is currently under interrogation.
At the Khazanei area checkpoint along the main highway, BLA fighters intercepted police officers transporting prisoners from Gaddani to Quetta. They detained five police officers, including ASI Ghulam Sarwar, and released ten prisoners. These officers are currently under trial in the Baloch National Court, which will decide their fate either release or punishment.
In another action, BLA fighters destroyed the main bridge at Rahimabad near Mungochar by planting explosives. When the occupying forces arrived in four vehicles, including an armored personnel carrier, the fighters ambushed them. Three soldiers were killed on the spot, and one vehicle was completely destroyed. The overwhelmed soldiers fled, abandoning their vehicles, while the armored vehicle retreated.
Furthermore, a BLA unit targeted a military convoy with a remote-controlled explosion near Garari, close to the Kalat toll plaza, early in the morning.
The statement concludes by emphasizing that these operations are part of the BLA’s ongoing freedom struggle aimed at liberating Baloch land from foreign occupation and restoring a sovereign and independent national identity. The BLA made it clear that every institution, agent, and military post of the occupying state will face resistance until the Baloch nation achieves its full historical, geographical, and political freedom.
