The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for two separate operations in Tump and Dhadar, stating that its fighters killed a collaborator of the Pakistani military and held control of a major highway for several hours.
According to a media statement by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group’s fighters raided the hideout of Zubair Abid, an alleged member of the state-backed “death squad,” in Malikabad, Tump (Kech district), and killed him. The fighters also seized his weapon, motorcycle, and other belongings.
The spokesperson claimed that Zubair Abid and his brother Saeed Abid led an armed group supported by the Pakistani military, which was involved in targeted killings, home raids, and setting up checkpoints in Tump, Dazen, Gomazi, and nearby areas.
The statement also accused the group of blackmailing women into spying for the military and engaging in social exploitation. In return for their cooperation, the group was allegedly allowed by Pakistani forces to commit robberies, drug trafficking, and extortion at checkpoints.
In a second operation, BLA fighters reportedly blockaded the main highway near Gandawah in Dhadar for three hours during the night, inspecting vehicles and asserting control over the road.
The BLA has formally taken responsibility for both actions.
