The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) cabinet strongly condemned the arrests of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders, labeling them as clear violations of human rights. In a recent meeting, VBMP denounced the use of the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO) to detain activists and subject them to extrajudicial violence, demanding the immediate and unconditional release of Dr. Mahrang Baloch and other BYC leaders.
Chaired by Nasrullah Baloch, the session included Vice Chairman Mama Qadeer Baloch, Secretary General Hooran Baloch, Information Secretary Ghulam Farooq Nechari, Joint Secretary Dr. Aziz Marri, and other executives. The cabinet discussed the mistreatment of detained BYC members, including Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Beebow Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch, and Sibghatullah Baloch.
In a communiqué, VBMP condemned the violence against Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Beebow Baloch, and Gulzadi Baloch, and criticized Bebo Baloch’s transfer to Pashin Jail. The cabinet emphasized that detaining individuals under 3MPO violates both state laws and international human rights standards.
VBMP warned that suppressing peaceful dissent through force is unsustainable and will worsen the situation in Balochistan unless the constitutional rights of the Baloch nation are upheld. The cabinet urged authorities to act swiftly and release Dr. Mahrang Baloch and other detainees.
Expressing alarm over ongoing enforced disappearances, delays in recovering forcibly missing persons, and rising extrajudicial killings, VBMP announced an upcoming press conference to unveil its strategic roadmap for addressing these issues.
